Situated within 300 yards of St Giles’ church in the centre of Wrexham, homes don’t come much more conveniently placed than this. Immediately to our right is a double fronted cupboard, providing the storage we all need for those coats, shoes, hoovers and general ‘stuff’ that every home has, but apartments sometimes struggle to accommodate….but not this one ??

Opposite here is the bathroom and it is in here that you begin to realise that my choice of the word ‘luxury’ is justified. A tastefully tiled recess contains the bath with its protective glass shower screen and electric shower, while the rest of the suite comprises a pedestal hand basin and lavatory. On the wall opposite the bath a full length mirror is both practical and gives the impression of great space, while beside this a set of shelves provide the storage for cosmetics and so on that many bathrooms lack. It is place to feel pampered, which can never be a bad thing.

Adjacent to here is the principal bedroom. This is of an excellent size, helped in this regard by the large set of fitted units and cupboards above and around the head of the double bed, while another fitted wardrobe provides all the storage you could realistically need. The door of the wardrobe is mirrored, taking its cue from the bathroom in using this to create the impression of even more space. The result is a very comfortable bedroom, which is exactly what is needed.

Next door we find the second, smaller bedroom. This is a definite single room but as such is spacious enough to be comfortable and contain as much free standing furniture as is necessary to meet most needs. As a child’s room, it would be ideal. In fact as an adult’s room, well let’s just say I’ve lived in far smaller and done so very happily….

The final door from the hall brings us into the kitchen portion of the kitchen/living room. This is laid out in the classic ‘U’ shape, allowing the work surfaces with their white goods and equipment to wrap around the chef and encourage their creative juices to flow freely. Always a good thing in a chef I find…

Moving towards the living room portion of the space, where the beautiful quality wood laminate floor continues there is one wall given over to fitted shelving and cupboard units providing a home for the entertainment systems and leaving sufficient space for one of the huge corner settees that are so popular today. Popular but often disastrously space-hungry however, presenting no problems here. The finishing touch to this attractive room comes in the form of a Romeo and Juliet window overlooking the front car park, which is actually a far more pleasant prospect than it sounds.
